Last month I queried three agents just to test the waters. Today, I received rejections from two of them. One sent a form letter, the same one he sent three years ago that fooled me into thinking it was a personal response. The other had issues with my word count. It was disheartening, but not unexpected. In my typical obstinate fashion, I signed up to Query Tracker Premium and made it my goal to hunt down agents seriously. There must be at least one interested in my story. I have a polished query letter, the best first ten pages one could ask for, and a determination as fierce as a Persian cat.
