My manuscript is officially complete. Even though editing a manuscript never truly ends as one could always find plenty of ways to improve it, I subscribe to the idea that every writer needs to find a point to let go and release their darling to the universe.
I reached that point on December 29th, 2023. Now creating a package for the agents, I might still go back and fix some lines in the first page to make it pop, but I won’t edit the rest of the novel anymore. It is time to rest after a full year of nonstop writing and revising. If this version of the story doesn’t attract any wandering eyes, no version will. Further word swapping and sentence restructuring wouldn’t change that. This is all I can give. The rest is in the stars.
